  Places of Interest Sousse    
 
  SOUSSE
Sousse is both the third largest city in Tunisia and the largest resort town. This can be a convenient starting point for excursions to Kairouan, El Jem, and Tunis.
Even a quick visit to Sousse should include at least the lovely medina and Ribat (fortress).

El Kantaoui Yacht Harbor
Proximity to fresh fish as well as a scenic location have attracted many good seafood restaurants to this garden yacht harbour. Two golf courses are located in the area, but are currently in need of rehabilitation.

Grand Mosque
A visit inside the courtyard is possible though not necessary if a visit to the mosque of Kairouan is included in the tour.

Ribat
Allows a panoramic view of the medina and old port from its tower.

Medina (UNESCO World Heritage)
A lovely, clean little medina only a fraction of the size of Tunis'. Shops open between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM in winter and between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM in summer.

Museum
Contains the second largest mosaic collection in Tunisia after the Bardo Museum in Tunis.
