Visiting Lake Ichkeul
Lake Ichekeul in Tunisia is a world-heritage listed national park and one of the last remaining freshwater lakes in a chain that once crossed North Africa. This unique park makes a refreshing visit on your tour through Tunisia. Its marshlands are an important sanctuary to over 200,000 migrating birds such as ducks, geese and pink flamingos. Ichkeul Park is the only national park with dedicated facilities for visitors. Tourists can take a walk along one of the nature trails.
