Tunisia offers hikers and tourists wanting a break a wide variety of scenic wonders. From the cool forests in the North West and the Rocky Mountains to the sand dunes of the Sahara in the South.

Best time of the Year for hiking and walking tours in Tunisia
 In the North: march-october
  In the South: October -march. In this period, the temperatures in the desert and mountains are at their coolest.

Walking and hiking packages of 1 to 3 days include:

Walking or Hiking tour timings and schedule sample
A normal day will start at 7:30am, but later beginnings can be arranged. The day is divided into 2 hiking parts. In the middle of each is a 30-minute break where snacks and refreshments are provided. Following the last stage is lunch which is provided in the middle of the countryside. Finally the minivan or 4WD car takes you back to the hotel.
Depending on their level of fitness, hardcore hikers can have as many additional stages during the day as they like. Some hikers decide to opt for the desert Bedouin experience and sleep in traditional tents.

The Mountain range of Zaghouan offers tremendous opportunities at just 55km from Tunis, making it easy to organize a hiking experience for just 1 day of your vacation package if you wish. You can hike along a part of the world’s longest Roman Aqueduct (132km or 85 miles) before arriving to the mountain range.

Twin peaks of Jebel Boukornine: Only 20 km or 12 miles from Tunis, these two summits are characterized by their vegetation and are part of a national park

Ain Draham and its famous Mont Khroumirie will welcome visitors and hikers in this land once used by Romans as a source of steaming sulphuric water.
In the South, hiking can take you to Tataouine or Matmata, where secret cliffhanging villages can be discovered.
