Traditional pottery making

Carpet weaving
This traditional craft dates back before the 5h century, when carpets were already praised by the Greeks. The knot used for weaving is called the “ghorza” and anywhere between 40,000 and 250,000 Ghorzas are used for every square meter of carpet. There are many varieties of carpet styles and weaving techniques. Trying your hand at weaving would make for an original vacation idea. The most famous style of this Tunisian craft include, the Kairouanais from the city of Kairouan and the “Margoum” or”Klim”.

Olive Oil traditional factory visits and tours
Olive oil is at the base of Tunisian culture. We suggest a unique travel experience by visiting one of the many traditional olive oil factories. The visit will last from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Visitors will see the 4 key stages of olive oil production that include crushing, pressing, decantation and filtration. This is a unique vacation idea for families wishing to discover the production of one of Tunisia’s finest culinary products.

Learn the art of Mosaics
One of the most exceptional crafts in Tunisia is its traditional Mosaic. Don’t just read about it in a travel guide, experience the real thing. Dating back to the 5th century B.C. some of the most beautiful and largest collections of Roman Mosaics are found in Tunisia and featured in museums all over the world.

Orange flower essence is a precious liquid distilled from orange tree flowers. Over 102,000 trees grow in the north of Tunisia in the region of the Cap Bon.
