1st day : Carthage - Sidi Bousaid - Sousse :
Visitors are greeted at the airport by our Travel agency guides. Your package tour starts with the visit of the ancient Punic city of Carthage situated near Tunis and founded in 814 BC. Ancient Carthage is a treasured Tunisian site where recent archaeological excavation works have revealed lost Punic homes and new Carthaginian ruins. Your tour then continues through to the city of Sidi Bou Said in the outskirts of Tunis. Sidi Bou Said is said to be the most beautiful historic city in Tunisia and is almost a mandatory visit while visiting Tunis City. Sidi Bou Said makes for an ideal and welcome lunch stop, as well as a fantastic photo opportunity in Tunisia’s most colourful city. Your dedicated tourist guide will take you to the next tour stage at the city of Sousse, a notorious Roman outpost, whose North African influence touched many cultures. Full of images and pictures of your historical tour, we will guide you back to your hotel to relax and prepare for an authentic Tunisian culinary experience, if you wish to.

2nd day : Sousse – Kairouan –Tunis
The first visit of your Sousse package tour takes you to the Great Okba Mosque, the oldest in North Africa, dating back to the 9th century. Then we continue on to discover the magnificent waterworks dating from the Middle Ages. Best seen from the top of the Tunisian Tourist Information building, the Roman water basins are a sight to behold; don’t forget your camera, as this is an ideal picture opportunity. Your excursion continues over the ancient Roman Aqueducts of Jebel Zaghouan, standing over 300 feet high. This section of the Roman aqueduct joins another one coming from Jouger to form one of the longest remaining Roman Aqueducts in the world with over 122km, or 80 miles in length. The final leg of your journey brings you back for sightseeing in the Old Medina of Tunis, with its Souks (markets). You will gaze at the ancestral Tunisian architecture and painted sculptures. Maybe your Tunisian travel guide will open a few old doors for you to discover and snap a photo of renovated traditional homes called “Dar” or private traditional restaurants.
