The 8-day Tunisia discovery package will take you through the Tunisian cities of Tunis, Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, Dougga, Bulla Regia, Tozeur, Tamerza, Chebika, and Douz; Matmata, Gabes, Sfax, El Jem, Sousse, Kairouan and Hammamet.
This all-inclusive 8-day Tunisia package vacation can be completely customized to add particular sightseeing destinations or additional excursions and activities along the journey, such as traditional Tunisian crafts, hiking or trekking stops and the world-famous camel back rides in the Sahara desert.

1st day of your trip through Tunisia: Tunis – Carthage – Sidi Bou Said
After arriving at Tunis-Carthage airport, our guide will welcome and take the group of visitors to the Phoenician city of Carthage for some historical sightseeing. Lunch will take place in the beautiful city of Sidi Bou Said, just a short trip away from Carthage.

2nd day : ancient Roman sites: Dougga – Bulla Regia – Tozeur
After breakfast and an early check-out from your hotel, the 110 km (75 miles) journey continues toward the ancient Roman Ruins of Dougga. Sightseeing includes the Forums, the Roman marketplace and the Capitoline temple to name just a few of the photo opportunities of this ancient city. After lunch, the afternoon’s package tours will take visitors to the town of Bulla Regia, a popular stop on the way to Carthage, often used by Saint Augustine. The journey continues back to Tunis where internal flights will take you to Tozeur.

3rd day : heading towards the South of Tunisia: Tozeur – Tamerza – Chebika
First thing this day, you will visit the Desert Oasis city of Tozeur, tour the old town and its ancient Medina, as well as the museums and ancient historical Tunisian homes. Then you will travel to Chebika and Tamerza by 4WD off-road vehicles. The terrain becomes rougher as the tour becomes more exotic. You will be taken to clifftop oases to discover 360° views of the desert and mountaintop waterfalls. The guide will take you back to your hotel via the Ong El Jemel route.

4th day : Salt flats and Troglodytes: Tozeur – Douz- Matmata – Gabes
The 4th day of your visit to Tunisia includes the ancient troglodyte homes of Matmata, the special site of the Chott El Jerid salt flats and the visit of palm tree fields before the Sahara desert. The journey continues to the Tunisian city of Gabes where your pre booked hotel accommodation awaits with a traditional Tunisian culinary feast.

5th day : travel to Sousse via El Jem and Sfax
Your travels from Sfax to El Jem will take most of the morning of this 4th day, allowing for a couple of photo stops with unique views of the Tunisian outdoors. In El Jem, you will be told the history of Africa’s largest Roman monument, a 3rd Century AD amphitheater that is virtually as large as the Coliseum of Rome. After the Roman amphitheater the tour continues to the city of Sousse, covered in Byzantine and Roman history. There are a number of sites and excursions to choose from in Tunisia’s 3rd largest city before retiring for the evening to your hotel.

6th day : Kairouan - Sousse
Kairouan, Tunisia’s Holiest of cities Kairouan is a fantastic travel destination that will help you understand what the true values of the Muslims are. The 6th day of your travel holiday stops in the 4th holiest city of Islam after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. You well discover the historical foundations of Kairouan and the legends that tie this unique travel destination with stories from Mecca. Tourists enjoy this stage of the tour as it opens a window of knowledge to the true values of Muslim beliefs while entertaining the visitors with legends and myths. The afternoon will be free for before going back to Sousse.

7th day :  Tunis via Hammamet
From the sandy shores of Hammamet to Tunis City Would any holiday vacation trip in Tunisia be complete without a hammam experience? These traditional Moorish bath houses are a holiday experience in themselves. The Tunisian city of Hammamet is a popular tourist destination and is the home of Tunisia’s most famous and largest Bath Houses. The colorful city of Hammamet is also the home of well-preserved Medinas tourists can visit. You can also go and relax on the Hammamet sandy beaches. Additional vacation package excursions are on offer in Hammamet as optional extras for this part of the holiday trip.

8th day : Final visit Tunis Medina
Tunis – getting ready to end the Tunisia vacation trip the last day of your tour will be in Tunis City. A visit at the souk will give you another opportunity to improve your negotiating skills while picking up on souvenirs before you return flight. Your transportation is ready and organized as the last steps of your vacation package come to an end at Tunis-Carthage airport.
