Day 1:
Arrival After landing, you are welcomed by our guide who will take you to your hotel. Enjoy yourself and relax, as serious things begin tomorrow morning.

Day 2 : Tunis - Carthage – Sidi Bou Said – Bardo
After breakfast, our guide meets you at your hotel and takes you to the Phoenician city of Carthage for some historical sightseeing. Lunch will take place in the beautiful city of Sidi Bou Said, just a short trip away from Carthage.

Day 3 : Tunis - Oudhna - Thuburbo Majus – Sousse
After breakfast, you check out from your hotel and drive to Oudhna, some 30 kilometers south of Tunis. Once known as Uthina, this was a splendid Roman city and today the ruins are set in a magnificent rural landscape, covered in olive groves and cypress trees. The travel continues to Thuburbo Majus. This typical Roman provincial town owed its wealth and prosperity to the surrounding wheat fields. The Capitol and forum are a place to see. Your Journey then brings you towards Sousse, Tunisia’s third largest city and one of the major tourist resorts. Check-in, dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 4: Sousse archaeological museum - Lamta - El Jem – Sousse
This 4th day starts with the Sousse archaeological museum, followed by a visit to Lamta. Once known as Leptiminus, this Roman-era Port city is now a quiet countryside town, by the sea. A small museum houses a collection of Punic, Roman and Byzantine antiques. After driving to El Jem, you’ll have lunch at a local restaurant before visiting one of UNESCO’s World Heritage protected sites: the colosseum. A little smaller than its counterpart in Rome, this Amphitheatre is in much better shape. Dinner & overnight at your Sousse Hotel.

Day 5: Sousse - Kairouan – Sbeitla
Today, you will visit Islam’s fourth holiest city, Kairouan. After a check out of the hotel and a drive to Kairouan, your guide will explain the historical foundations of Kairouan and the legends that tie this place with stories from Mecca. You will enjoy this stage of the tour as it opens a window of knowledge to the true values of Muslim beliefs while entertaining you with legends and myths. After lunch, the next visit is for Sbeitla. This quiet town is home to the ancient Roman city of Sufeitula, famous for its well-preserved Temples. Check-in and overnight at your hotel in Sbeitla.

Day 6: Sbeitla - Makthar - Kasserine - El Kef
After Checking-out from your hotel, we drive to makthar to visit ancient Mactaris, as the Roman ruins are well worth a visit. Then, a drive to Kasserine. After lunch, the trip continues to Le Kef where you will check-in and relax at your hotel.

Day 7: El Kef - Dougga
Who would guess that a town whose name translates to “the Rock” would have so much charm as to immediately carve a permanent place in each visitor’s heart? Perched 800 meters above sea-level, Le Kef’s cool mountain air and sights rarely visited by tourists provide refreshing change of vista to travelers. Drawn by plentiful springs, this area has been inhabited since prehistoric times. After visiting El Kef, we drive to nearby Dougga. This World Heritage site is arguably one of the best preserved Roman cities in North Africa and makes for a thrilling visit for archaeology fans.

Day 8: Dougga - Chemtou - Bulla Regia – Tunis
Today, you will visit two other sites of historical importance in Roman Africa. Chemtou is the modern name of what used to be Simitthu. This city owed its prosperity to the pink-veined yellow marble of its quarries, which made Romans go crazy about its exotic colour. The museum is well worth a visit. Bulla Regia is your next stop on today’s journey. This site is a remarkable one, famous for its underground Roman villas. The Romans dug deep to build them in order to escape the heat, while preserving the elegance and comfort of the traditional Roman abode. After this exciting visit, you will drive back to Tunis, check in and relax at your hotel.

Day 9: Tunis - Kerkouane - Nabeul- Hammamet- Tunis
On this day, you will drive to Kerkouane, a splendid Punic site, beautifully laid-out on the coast of Cap Bon. The next step is Nabeul, the capital of pottery in Northern Tunisia, and a charming seaside city. We then continue to Hammamet, perhaps one of Tunisia’s most famous tourist resorts. After this long day, we return to your hotel for dinner and your last night in Tunisia.

Day 10 :
Departure After breakfast, check out of your hotel and, time permitting, visit downtown Tunis for some last-minute shopping before driving to the airport to catch your return flight.
